Infertility

Serious issue here, have you ever dealt with infertility? How did you keep hope?
I went through years of infertility prior to getting pregnant, and then we miscarried at 9 weeks, then I was absolutely bitter for weeks and weeks and could barely care about anyone else’s happiness. I barely could care for my own happiness when we got pregnant a few months later. I don’t know how I managed through those months that turned into years, I honestly don’t, but holding my daughter in my arms on the day she was born was totally worth it. We did the infertility treatments again for about a year to give her a sibling but had no success. If anyone wants to know where all my money went to, it was to bring my daughter into this world. No one can fathom what infertility patients are willing to pay to have a child, I know that I’ve totally blanked that total from my memory, but lets just say that insurance covered zilch.

Turning The Tables: Disney!

If you had to be one of the costumed greeters at Walt Disney World for a day, what character would you be and why? What do you anticipate your day would be like?
This is a great question, and you may not know this, but I leave for Disney World on September 7th and will be staying for an entire week! My family is so excited!!! We were last there two years ago, and oh my gosh, I think I’d rather die than be dressed up as one of those characters! It was so freaking hot!!
That said, I think I’d want to be Alice In Wonderland. Ya know where she sat? In a toy store, in England, at Epcot. There was air conditioning! And, of course, she was surrounded by children. She looked like she was having a blast.

What other career have you always been interested in? If you could do it for a day, what would you like to do?
You never know, if manufacturing continues to take a nose dive I just might have to find an alternative career. I have my undergrad degree in Criminal Justice, and had intended on going to the police academy or law school. I opted to join the family tool & die business instead. If I could do either of those for one day, I wouldn’t. I wouldn’t last a day in anything where the dress code wasn’t: jeans, t-shirt, flip flops, no make-up and a ponytail.
So that leaves me to be a writer. If I could be a writer for a day I totally would.
Or coffee shop/bookstore owner. That would be my dream job.

My husband can play Blackjack like its nobody’s business! I would put the two of us on the very first flight out to Vegas where I would enjoy spa treatments all day and he wipe out the casino.
